GUTS2026：ストーリーテリング / Storytelling

今回のGUTSにおける、新しい試みです。

「ロール主体先行」から、「その前にちょっとだけでもグリーンランドの狩猟文化について知ってみましょうよ」というQajaqJPNの活動方針の小さな軌道修正については、SNSやこのブログでも何度かご説明してきました。今回のGUTSのコンテンツは、その辺を重点的に考えてみました。

が、これがなかなか、なかなかなか容易じゃない。かなり難しいっ。
お題を掲げた自分が言うのもなんですが、いざ参加者の立場に立って想像すると、なんと表情の険しいことか(笑)。そりゃそうです。普段から意識して日本の文化にすらガッツリ触れているわけでもなし、「なに難しいこと言ってんの？」という気持ちになっちゃいますよね。挙句の果てには、居眠りブッこいちゃっても仕方あんめぇデスヨ。
そこで、皺の少ない脳みそをヒートアップさせて知恵を絞りました。やってみるもんですね。「物語なら俺でも聞けるな」というマイルストーンに辿り着いたんです。え、ヒートアップさせた割には、そんだけ？ はは…ははは（もはや、乾いた笑いしか出せません）
そして喜びも束の間、すぐに立ちはだかる壁。「誰が書くのよ？」です。追い討ちをかけるように、コダマよろしく速攻で返ってくる「俺じゃねーよ」。ﾅﾝﾅﾉﾖorz

駄菓子菓子（ダガシカシ）、幸運の女神は見捨てませんでした。
目に飛び込んできたのは、めぐみさんの「ぴかぴかさん」。


めぐみさんはSTORM SHELTERでバイダルカを作っている方で、朗読や読み聞かせが得意なのは以前のSTORM ON文化祭で知っていました。最近はFacebookで物語（上記「ぴかぴかさん」）を連載しており、アップされるたびに拝読していたところです。
狩猟文化となると守備範囲も違ってくるし、断られるだろうなぁと思いつつ打診してみたところ、なんとまさかの快諾！
さらにプロットを送ると、彼女からも積極的な意見が出てきました。ありがたいっ！
というわけで、今回のイベントでは グリーンランドの狩猟文化を「解説」するのではなく、一つの物語として体験してもらう時間も用意しています。
物語は朗読（あるいはラジオドラマ風）で当日“生”で公開されます。想像力フル回転で没入しちゃってください。どうぞお楽しみに。

あー、ちょっと待てよ…待てってば。
「ストーリーテリング、やりますよ」だけだとインパクトが弱いですかね。
弱いわな。
弱いだろ。

「続きは劇場で！」ぐらいの掴みが欲しいところだなぁ。んー、冒頭のほんの一部だけを公開してみっか…。


いや、もったいねーからやめとこ(笑)。

For this year’s GUTS, QajaqJPN is trying something new: storytelling.
We’ve slightly shifted our usual “roll-first” approach to include a little bit of Greenlandic hunting culture — even if just a tiny taste. We’ve mentioned this shift on social media and in previous blog posts, but this time, I wanted to share how we approached the GUTS content itself.
And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy.
Even as the organizer, imagining myself in the participants’ shoes made me realize just how intimidating it might feel.
After all, most of us aren’t used to engaging with “culture” on a regular basis — and it’s easy to think, “Hmm… is this going to be complicated?”
So, I racked my brain as hard as I could. And then — Eureka! — I realized, “If it’s a story, even I can follow along.”
Just as I was celebrating, another challenge appeared: “Who’s going to write it?”
But fortune smiled upon me.
Enter Megumi-san’s “Pikapika-san.”


I first got to know Megumi at the STORM SHELTER, where she builds Baidarka, and I had seen her talent for storytelling and reading aloud at the previous STORM ON cultural festival. Recently, she’s been serializing stories on Facebook, which I’ve been following avidly.
I wasn’t sure if she’d accept a story about hunting culture — definitely a different territory — but to my surprise, she said yes!
After I shared the plot, she even offered active suggestions. I’m so grateful.
So, for this event, we won’t be “explaining” Greenlandic hunting culture. Instead, we’ll offer a chance to experience it through a story.
The story will be performed live, either as a reading or a radio-drama-style presentation. I hope everyone will enjoy it.

Now, here’s a little side note.
Simply saying, “We’re doing storytelling!” might not be enough to grab attention.
I’m still debating whether we should tease a tiny snippet of the opening — a “See you at the theater!” kind of moment (^o^;).
